Flags & notes
Parking note. Problematic — Hotel has no parking; guests must use nearby municipal garage at €2.50/hour, which becomes expensive for multi-night stays and is not mentioned upfront.

What the trend suggests

Possible review removal2013-08 – 2013-1275% confidence
A 5-month gap (Aug–Dec 2013) with near-zero delta (−0.42 points, from 4.75 to 4.33) suggests reviews were removed or suppressed rather than a renovation closure followed by reopening. A true renovation would typically show post-gap recovery of +0.30 or more; this mild decline is consistent with selective review deletion or archive purging during the early data period.
Issue resolved2016-03 – 2025-1272% confidence
WiFi and internet quality complaints (slow, unreliable, password issues) were prominent in 2016–2022 reviews (e.g. 2016-Q3, 2022-Q2, 2022-Q3), but are absent from 2023–2026 review snippets. This sustained absence across 40+ months of recent data suggests the hotel upgraded its connectivity infrastructure, resolving a previously recurring pain point.
Emerging issue2020-01 – 2025-1270% confidence
Noise complaints (especially street/bar noise during late hours) appear sporadically in 2020–2021 (COVID-era, potentially low traffic) but intensify and cluster in 2024–2025 reviews (2024-Q2, 2025-Q2, 2025-Q4), suggesting increased nightlife activity in the surrounding area or guests' heightened sensitivity. This pattern is consistent with post-pandemic recovery bringing crowds back to the city center where the hotel is located.

What guests report

View
Upper floors (8-9) have stunning views of Cathedral Square, Gediminas Tower, and city skyline; street-facing rooms on main avenue have excellent city views; lower floors and inner courtyard rooms have poor or no views of outside
Bed & mattress
Generally praised as comfortable and supportive with quality mattresses, though some guests found mattresses too soft/spongy or too thin; pillows noted as subpar for a 4-star hotel
Bathroom & water
Spacious with good water pressure in showers; most rooms feature both bathtub and separate shower cabin which guests love; mold reported in some shower areas; smoked glass doors criticized for poor privacy
Wi-Fi
Highly variable; described as speedy and excellent in some reviews but also as useless/very slow during peak hours; Chromecast advertised but sometimes missing network hardware
Breakfast
Excellent quality and diverse selection with fresh bread, waffles, hot options, meats, cheeses, yogurts; worth the €15 price though some say skip it for local cafés; buffet can get crowded at peak times; limited fruit options; takeaway breakfast boxes are disappointing
AC / heating
Centralized control with no manual adjustment; fails to cool in summer; winter heating adequate but thermostat noise can be loud; some rooms cannot control temperature independently
Elevator
Unreliable

Local knowledge

Request a room NOT facing Gedimino Avenue (main street) to avoid nightlife noise, especially Thu-Sat; rooms 602 and others on street-facing side are extremely loud
Bring earplugs or request them at reception; central location means street bars operate until 4-5am with drunk people shouting
Airport bus #88 costs €1 and stops 600m away; BOLT taxi is €8 or less, much cheaper than hotel's €40 transfer offer
Breakfast starts 6:00am weekdays, 6:30am weekends; on weekends it starts 8am and only a small box is offered, so adjust plans accordingly
Do NOT order food at the restaurant if you have allergies; staff failed to disclose bread under pork dish for gluten-intolerant guest, no apology offered
Water in minibar costs €4.50; request a complimentary bottle at reception upon arrival instead
Check in during off-peak hours (mid-afternoon) to avoid 1.5+ hour waits; reception can be very slow even with online pre-check-in
Upper floors (8-9) offer best views of Cathedral Square and Gediminas Tower; lower floors have poor views or face buildings

Design & character (1% of reviews mention design): Modern, contemporary interior with minimal aesthetic praised but also noted as impersonal and lacking warmth; Renovated lobby described as very nice with newly updated common spaces; Themed rooms (e.g., 'iSpy' room, basketball-themed room 501) with different wallpapers add personality
