Watch-outs · 5 recorded

Inconsistent breakfast billing where some guests were told breakfast was included but charged after eating, creating confusion and frustration over payment responsibility. (3×)
Potential guest data security breach with phishing WhatsApp messages containing booking details (names, confirmation numbers, booking.com reference) requesting credit card information. (2×)
Front-facing rooms suffer from significant early-morning traffic noise from the adjacent main road and frequent deliveries/parking lot activity, making rest difficult with windows open. (3×)
Unprofessional staff conduct including eye-rolling at guest requests, poor communication between departments, blame-shifting onto guests for hotel errors, and occasional rudeness or indifference from restaurant/reception staff. (5×)

Local knowledge

Book a room on the back/rear side of the hotel if noise sensitivity matters—front rooms face the main road with early-morning traffic, while rear rooms overlook mountains and are quieter.
Use the hotel's private taxi shuttle to Zermatt (CHF 7-8) instead of the train; it's cheaper than round-trip train fares and offers fixed departure times.
Take advantage of included parking garage discount (25% off) if driving; underground parking is secure, has EV charging, and costs CHF 2 less per day than the train station lot.
Arrive early for breakfast or request a to-go packed breakfast if checking out before 7 AM, as the breakfast service can run low on hot items mid-morning.
Note that Täsch town shuts down early (around 7 PM); stock up at Migros/Coop (2 min walk) or cook in-room using the hotel's kitchenette if your room includes one.
Request a room upgrade at check-in—many guests unexpectedly received free upgrades from sister hotel Matterhorn Inn, suggesting rooms may be flexible.
Verify breakfast inclusion at check-in in writing or screenshot confirmation; multiple guests reported billing confusion over whether breakfast was complimentary.
Beware of phishing WhatsApp messages claiming to be from the hotel requesting credit card details; verify directly with reception before responding to any messages with your booking data.
